I AM A CRACKHEAD. Also, JC! New tune!!!

God help us all, when I first found fandom and discovered Mr. Chasez, I felt like I'd found a kindred spirit. Spazz, indeed.

joeysdramaqueen is heading into town and we thought we'd try to get together for lunch, so we traded a few email messages back and forth this morning and I began to wonder, why is this woman still at home if she's supposed to be Ohio by now? Well, bwahahahahaha! I'm an idiot, because she's rolling into town next week. As I emailed so eloquently this morning, it's a wonder I'm allowed to walk around without a helmet and kneepads. ;-P

In other news, I was surprised to see that a new JC tune has leaked. Did it really leak? Did we - as in everyone but me - know this was about to happen? Anyway, I eagerly downloaded the tune last night. I must admit that my eyebrows may have quirked upwards an inch or so. My first thought was, wow, that's certainly commercial. Not necessarily in a bad way, just very different from the last go 'round. It kind of reminds me of a couple of other songs that I can't think of right now, but the upshot and bottom line (hahaha) is that this is definitely a radio-friendly song. It might not be what we expected, or what some of us wanted, but it's definitely what he needs.

Whatever anyone thinks of the song, you can't deny that he sounds wonderful. His voice has matured, and as someone mentioned, when he dips down in those lower registers, hole-lee hannah! That's one thing I really liked about the song, the way the melody would go down when you expected it to go up and OH MY GOD, I've forgotten every bit of musical terminology I've ever known. My job is making me stupid. Anyway.

I wanted Schizophrenic to sell like a motherfuck3r, but it didn't. I wanted everyone in the world to fall as head over heels in love with JC as I was, but they didn't. The truth of it is that he needs a song like this. If it gets him noticed and if it gets him airplay, I'm all for it. I hope it takes off like a friggin' intercontinental ballistic missile - handy link supplied because I'm just that kind of a geek.

Okay, the Russians are seriously kinky. Here are a few of their missle names, taken from the wiki link.

Specific types of Soviet/Russian ICBMs include:

SS-17 SPANKER
SS-18 SATAN / R-36M2 / Voivode
SS-19 STILLETO
SS-24 SCALPEL / RT-23
SS-25 SICKLE / Topol

Though the Stilleto, Scalpel and Sickle sound intriguing, I want JC to go off like a friggin' SPANKER, man. Apt, given his fanon persona, no?

In other news, my sinuses seem to have purchased a number of finely-wrought miniature silver spikes and are hell-bent on hammering them into and through my nasal cavities. Repeat after me: OW.

I didn't go to Challenge and all I got was this lousy headache.

I should be in Miami, dammit. ;-(

So, I saw this post on the JJB this morning. As others have noted, Tony Lucca announced at a show last night that he's touring with JC this fall, and that JC stole one of his guitar players for the tour band. ;-) Squee!

Popped out on my friends list and saw a few people wondering if Tony might be talking out of his ass. Tony doesn't seem the type to flap his lips for nothing, so I've got to believe that it's true.

JC. This fall. Maybe, maybe, maybe coming to my town, or close enough for a road trip. Cleveland? Chicago? Woohoo! I'm *so* there. If he comes to town I've told an O-Town loving friend that she's going with me. I forwarded the JC-in-traffic pics to her, and she agrees that he's a hottie. She seemed not too put out when I told her that the tour looks like a certainty. I daresay she seemed a little excited. Tomorrow I'll give her my CDs, complete with listening lists. I'm crossing my fingers that she's a convert. ;-) Oooh, I need to order Tony's CD...

To everyone lucky enough to be heading to Challenge: Have fun. Take pictures. Take notes. ;-)

The subject is *always* JC.

Some Girls will be JC's first single. And *finally*, what looks to be a reliable album release date, October 21st. This sucks because I'm tired of waiting!!! and this means that Schizophrenic won't be eligible for a 2003 Grammy. On the brighter side, though, 'Some Girls' will be eligible. Too bad I don't know any Academy members to rough up.

On the writing side of life, nearly one-third of the next chapter of Chasez Lake has been edited. Yikes! My muse finally decided to get with the program - she can be quite an irksome bitch when she's being stubborn. But woohoo! Thar be ficcage ahead matey! Quite possibly before the end of the year, even!

Blowin' me up...

...with his friggin' amazing voice.

Damn, boyfriend can sing, folks. I renamed all the MP3s on my drive, got rid of stuff like jc1290c.soe.w and replaced them with things I'll actually be able to understand when I glance at them. In honor of the last time (first time!) JC dropped me on my head with his solo stuff, I whipped out Blowin' Me Up.

Love the new stuff, cannot *wait* for the album, but holy Hannah, I love the joyful, full-out wailing on BMU. He's got power, range, control and versatility...the vocals in that song just kill me. The man's truly got a gift, yo.

JC!!!!!!

I downloaded and am listening (repeatedly!) to the Ode to Corey Hart (also known as Come to Me), and I wonder if this is the alien song? "Traveling to galaxies on telepathic roads..." Hmmm. And is this classic, or what: "My life is a catastrophaaay." Those boys and their drawls.

Love him so much.

Killing me softly with his song(s).

If song clips, the return of the curls (R.I.P. manbun), and a suit and pink shirt have this effect on me (and he was onstage! *singing!*), how am I *ever* going to survive the juggernaut of JC's solo promo when it cranks into high gear?

I love him perhaps more than is healthy. I admit this. He leaves me breathless. Makes my heart stop. I adore him. I'm gonna be dead when this is all over. I'm beginning to believe that Death by Chasez is possible.

::whimper::

Of the good, purchased JC's turn as It Boy in Seventeen Magazine. Woohoo! I was afraid I'd be too late for the issue, so now I can relax. Of the not so good, I couldn't find the cereal box with the JC poster. Did you know that there're at least a half a million different types and brands of cereal in your average grocery store? Did not know that. My eyes were crossed by the end of my search. Reese's and Cheerios offered me some sort of gaming CD, but I passed on the offer. Want poster! Want poster *now*!

In other news, the first edit of a certain looooooong story is going well. of 69.2K total, 18.8's been edited. A little over a quarter of the story as it stands. Yes! Hope springs eternal. :-)

I am supremely tired. Didn't go to bed til past midnight (it's JC's fault!), then after I was actually in bed, I just gazed at the ceiling, thinking about the song clips for another hour. Had to get up at 5:00, so while that was pleasurable, it was not exactly a good thing to do. Must sleep tonight. Alas, I don't know of a proven way to get the Chasez out of my brain, nor am I actively searching for a solution.

Queen Latifah had a breast reduction, according to People Magazine. That's a gorgeous woman, there.

JC album cuts have been leaked, kids!

JC! Holey moley, album cuts have been leaked. Thanks to the heads up in [info]scot_ty's journal, there's a link to the JJB post containing the download links:

http://pub209.ezboard.com/fjjboardfrm29.showMessage?topicID=8317.topic

and here's the links:

Build My World

One Night Stand

Some Girls

According to Jayne's post, there's no name listed on the website where these were found, and they're not claimed to be JC. But really, all you have to do is listen. If this *isn't* JC, it's the most gifted impressionist I've ever heard.

"One Night Stand" pays homage to both Smokey Robinson and Donna Summer, and overall, a nod to Prince's "Gett Off." JC, I love your musical little brain.

And the curls are back!!! Oddly enough, I wondered earlier in [info]loveisimmortal's journal whether the curls meant that the JC solo promo machine was about to switch into gear. And now album leaks. You can't tell me the two aren't related.

Aiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!! It's gonna happen! Really gonna happen!
