Help me, SPN f-listers, you're my only hope.
Okay, Supernatural friends, where do I go for fic? Any particular comms worth watching? Websites of interest? Authors of note? If one wanted to read a ton of good Winchester!slash, where would one go?

Help a sister out, folks!

Start with my memories *g*

Good comms to watch are [info]crack_impala, [info]spnroundtable, [info]spn_themes and [info]spn_j2_bigbang. If you want awesome J2 fic, [info]abouttwoboys is great.

Here are some other recs (some are probably duplicated in my memories, but I know some aren't): http://mickeym.livejournal.com/tag/spn+fic+recs

And I haven't forgotten about your disks, I promise. Have you gotten S1 yet?

*GLOMPS HAAAAAAAAAAARD*

Oh my freakin' Lord. I'm writing a Doctor Who fic that I'm supposed to post this week and what have I spent the evening doing? READING SUPERNATURAL SLASH. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! You've memmed some great stuff! If you guys don't hear from me for a couple of weeks you'll know why. :-)

And I haven't forgotten about your disks, I promise. Have you gotten S1 yet?

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! Not yet! Soon, hopefully. ::cries:: Til then though, I have 'Mystery Spot' DVR'd and tons of lovely fic to read. Thank you! ::smooches::

There are so many goodies in this fandom! Hmm.

A few recent lovely things I've read are this one and this one.

Oh, if you feel like reading one of the few Sam/Dean AU's there are, you should definitely read this one, it's fabulous. Also, try everything by [info]sanyin, [info]dontyouwaitup, [info]nutkin and [info]causeways. Go from there and you'll be set. There are a LOT more I could mention, but then it'd be too much for one sitting. *g*

Wheeness! Thank you!

There are so many goodies in this fandom! Hmm.

I'm supposed to be writing a fic to be posted this week, but I couldn't help myself, I started poking through Kim's memmed fic instead. So many lovely stories about two lovely men! I can't wait to dig in properly though, once I've been a good fangirl and finished my Doctor Who fic. :-)

Thanks for the links! ::smooches::

Eso's recs on Delicious is a really good place to start, I think, and of course my favorite subset of those are the first-time recs. And if you feel like getting into the Jensen/Jared side of things, there's also http://del.icio.us/cwrpsrecs, which I found very useful (especially the first-time subset - what can I say? I have a thing!) =)

I think it's been a while since she updated her recs, so the more recent stuff isn't on the list, but those links are a pretty good primer, I'd say.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I love me some first-time fic! Thanks for the links, woman! I plan to overdose on SPN!slash as soon as I finish a fic I need to post this week.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, I stopped halfway through writing this comment to read more SPN instead of writing my fic. Yay for f-list enablers!

People post their stories to [info]supernaturalfic. If you're brave and strong of heart, there's always [info]spnstoryfinders. Also, the [info]spnnewsletter posts lists of new fic twice a day. There's so very, very much to read.

:)

SPN!fic for the win! \o/ I can't believe I have another fandom. It feels momentous, somehow.

Hly freakin' YAY for gorgeous boys and well-written shows and tons of fic! I'm in a fandom happy place. Thank you for the links! ::love and cookies::

I'll second [info]crack_impala; it's enormously helpful and the archives will keep you going for quite a while. [info]supernaturalfic is also really handy for tracking down stories once you find an author you like. I know you said slash, but there's also amazing gen stuff posted. Last summer's [info]spn_summergen challenge had some gorgeous stories.

There really are too many awesome writers here; trying to pick just a few is haaaard. ::whines:: Okay, for the killer Sam/Dean (and writers not already mentioned above), I'm going to say [info]poisontaster, [info]killabeez, [info]destina, [info]maygra, [info]sevenfists, [info]rei_c, and [info]astolat. (Okay, that just killed me, so there are LOTS MORE. Feel free to ping me again.)

What a happy dilemma! I have a sekrit fandom that has tons of not-so-great writers and 99.9% of the fandom writes the pairing I'm not crazy about so YAYSQUEEWHEE! at being awash in great writers and tons of fabulous fic!

I'm supposed to be writing but I'm mostly reading and feeling guilty and then writing a couple of words when I think about it. Eeee! Thank you for the links! ::smooches::

SPN fic, or SPN RPS? I don't real a lot of just plain old SPN (too depressing for me) but if you want RPS, I can give you some excellent recs. I have a very few SPN recs as well that I can dig up.

Oooh, I'll try some RPS on for size, definitely! Links of both varieties will be welcomed with cake and vodka, thank you! ::smooches::

I always check out the day's fic recs linked on [info]spnnewsletter.

The recs themselves are new, but of course they often refer to older stories as well, and ultimately you get a feel of which reccers and comms tend to like the same things you do.
